OUR YOUNGER SELVES
Lay thy weary head on my chest's pillow.
And if today is not our last, then we shall surely see tomorrow.
'O let our emotions sparkle like the sun's radiance.
See the world smiling on us with the joy of an angel's glance.
When thy angelic voice whispers.
My heart stops for a minute, then it saunters.
With an amazingly sinuous grace.
That has taken my soul up, to a heavenly place.
Momentarily, my ears go dumb.
When they hear thy mouth speaks.
Instantly, my skin becomes numb.
When your tender hands fondled through mine, it has no option but to become weak.
Here I am, starring at the painting of our younger selves on the wall.
As my loneliness crumbles like ruined falls.
Like a full brightened moon.
My heart glitters with the joy of seeing thou soon.
